Smith Point Humpback Whale?
July 17, 2011 - 09:55
What will be done with the whale on Smith Point? https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Inquirer-and-Mirror/255864560765
I hope that a museum steps up and takes the whale, what an amazing resource I hope it is not wasted. Also I'm a little surprised there were not bite marks from it already. Will the smell do decomposing whale in the wash bring the GW's to the beach?

The whale is on the move and breaking apart in the surf. Intestines unravelling. Parts have been reported from Miacomet to Smith's Point.
Er...gross. Think I'll swim at Steps Beach the next time I go in.

At least the local officials were thinking of the biggest BANG for the buck on the removal costs
