Downyflake Pancakes
August 25, 2010 - 11:46
From a random headline on Yahoo this afternoon (apparently taken from Travel and Leisure) on America's best pancakes:
The Downyflake
A weathered gray shingle diner, popular with the summer crowd that waits for the housemade doughnuts, gets equally high marks for its plain Yankee pancakes. Since this is New England, you can choose flapjacks made with tart cranberries and fresh blueberries. Order a short stack and save room for a serving of raisin bread French toast. Pure maple syrup is a premium so expect to pay extra.
Best side: Hot cinnamon doughnut.

Interesting that they call the plain donuts "cinnamon" donuts. All classic old school cake donut recipes call for cinnamon..Kids
Congratulations top ten best pancake house in America! It is nice to read something wholesome about Nantucket and it is nice to see the Downey peeps rewarded for keeping that place just the way we like it.

YEAH! with a side of linguica.
mmmm. linguica.....
Bill Foote would rather be on Nantucket
