Apparently, not all seals are bad. Just one of them.

The folks from NOAA visited Great point and feel that all of the hoopla surrounding rogue fish-stealing seals over the last couple of months is the work of one seal.
One seal? Really? I'm skeptical.

If it's one seal, it really gets around! I have had seals take bluefish three times off the airport, several times at Old Man shoal, Chord of the Bay. Go out to Great Point and SEVERAL seals have lures hooked onto them. What a waste of tax dollars to send someone to "research" this ,and this is what they come up with. Pathetic!

It is one seal causing problems by coming out of the water and approaching people for food. Here are two videos showing the same seal, easily identifiable by the huge gash on it's side, which has healed. Perhaps he is unable to hunt successfully in the water... but I'm no seal expert.
